The Feminine Universe (group show, Blue Galleries, March 13)

Picture
  • When/Where: Opening Exhibition, March 13 @ 6 PM, Blue Galleries (Houston) (per your flyer).
  • What it is: A Women’s History Month group exhibition celebrating womanhood as power, presence, and creation (per your overview).
  • My contribution: “Question for Eve.”
The Feminine Universe is an immersive group exhibition for Women’s History Month that frames womanhood as power, presence, and creation—bold yet tender, visible yet layered. Through texture, movement, symbolism, and strength, the show invites collectors and community to connect across art, history, and future. Myeshia Babers participates with Question for Eve, a work that treats femininity as lived archive and asks what happens when the body is read as both container and evidence—when softness is misread as weakness but functions as strategy. Opening March 13 at 6 PM at Blue Galleries.

DEVOTION: A Black Love Archive (apexart, June–July 2027)

Picture
  • Dates: June 4 – July 24, 2027 (Opening: Fri, June 4, 6–8 PM)
  • Where: apexart, 291 Church St (NYC)
  • What it is: This exhibition treats everyday “receipts” of Black love (texts, voicemails, notes, artifacts) as a public archive + participatory toolkit.
DEVOTION: A Black Love Archive is a 2027 apexart exhibition curated by Myeshia C. Babers that makes the “receipts” of Black love publicly legible—screenshots, voicemails, counseling worksheets, apology drafts, and other everyday artifacts that rarely count as archive. Set in New York City at apexart (291 Church St), visitors move through seven stages—Ask, Becoming, Building, Weathering, Breaking, Still, After—where intimate documents are presented with curatorial care rather than sanitization. By treating love as evidence and labor, DEVOTION asks what communities owe each other, and what gets lost when our most private records are dismissed as “drama.”
